Three Year Anniversary of Deontay Wilder’s KO of Dominic Breazeale

From the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, NY May of 2019

I share this as a personal memory as a boxing fan who attended this fight three years ago. This KO win is probably Deontay Wilder’s high water mark as he was coming off the awesome first fight with Tyson Fury where he nearly knocked him out in the twelfth round while well behind. I expected Wilder to defeat Breazeale but anticipated a little more out of Dominic given his ability to absorb punishment and take Anthony Joshua seven rounds in their title fight. Wilder wowed the Brooklyn crowd again like he did vs Artur Szpillka and scored another dramatic KO for the NY crowd. I also post this due in part to Wilder’s recent announcement that he is not retiring and plans to keep fighting. With Tyson Fury “retired” and Joshua in a tough rematch and a lot of interesting guys moving up the ranks there are some interesting fights out there for Wilder. I wish the man luck as he did show a ton of heart in the third fight with Fury and had his moments in what turned out to be an exciting night. Below I will post my photos from inside the arena:
